Mariam, only 2 months old and weighing just 3 kg, is suffering from multiple critical heart conditions. She has two holes in her heart, an abnormal heart position, and a narrowed blood vessel, which is severely affecting her breathing. Along with these complications, she is currently battling pneumonia, making her condition even more critical.

About this campaign

Doctors have advised that Mariam urgently needs open-heart surgery to survive. She has been admitted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases for the past seven days, where approximately BDT 21,000 has already been spent on her treatment. In Bangladesh, open-heart surgery would cost around BDT 500,000–600,000. However, due to her extremely low weight, doctors are reluctant to perform the surgery until she reaches at least 10 kg, which may not be possible given her critical condition. As a result, she requires treatment abroad. If taken to India, the total cost of her treatment may reach BDT 700,000–800,000, which is far beyond the means of her financially struggling family. We humbly appeal to you, please come forward to help save baby Mariam’s life. Your support and compassion can bring back her smile and give her a chance to live.
