Implementation of the Post-Flood 100 Houses Construction Project.
Short Description
The inauguration of the “100 Houses Construction Project” of Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation has been successfully held for the rehabilitation of homeless families affected by floods. The project was officially inaugurated at Bhabaniganj Multilateral High School in Lakshmipur by the Honorable Religious Affairs Adviser to the Government of Bangladesh, Dr. A.F.M. Khalid Hossain. This noble initiative aims to rebuild homes and restore hope for families who lost everything in the devastating floods, ensuring safe shelter and dignity for the affected communities.
Long Description
Under the initiative of Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation, families were selected in a fully neutral and transparent manner through dedicated local volunteers. During the event, the Honorable Religious Affairs Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh, along with the Chairman of the foundation, Muhammed Nasir Uddin, formally handed over essential household items including tin sheets for roofing and walls, beds (chouki), cooking utensils (pots and pans), buckets, mugs, and other necessary household materials. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Ismail Hossain of the Department of Chemistry, University of Chittagong and adviser of the foundation, the Deputy Commissioner of Lakshmipur Suraiya Jahan, Superintendent of Police Tarek Bin Rashid, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Sohel Rana, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Arifur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Yasin Majumder, along with other respected local volunteers and dignitaries. This flood-affected homeless rehabilitation project was carried out in collaboration with Shamsul Hoque Foundation, NAHAR, SWMA, ABAM Foundation, and Durbin Foundation.
