ASH Foundation has distributed winter clothing and blankets among tea workers as part of a humanitarian initiative. A total of 350 families received warm clothing in the Feni and Jaflong tea gardens.
The workers of Jaflong Tea Garden earn only BDT 170 per day, which is insufficient compared to the current cost of living. Considering their hardship, the foundation organized this winter relief program to support them during the severe cold season.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Mujahidul Islam Riaz, CEO of Send A Little Hope UK, whose participation and support added greater value to the initiative. The foundation expressed hope that this small effort would help ease the suffering of cold-affected people.
They also stated that such winter relief activities will continue so that more underprivileged people across the country can benefit. They urged everyone to come forward according to their capacity to support cold-stricken people and bring smiles to their faces. The foundation believes that through collective efforts, a more compassionate and humane society can be built.
