Short Description
Rajon’s dream, built little by little through years of driving an auto on rent, was washed away in the devastating floods of 2024. Due to the erosion of the WAPDA canal in Pirapur Upazila of Lakshmipur, Rajon, along with many other families, lost their homes and homesteads, falling into extreme helplessness.
Long Description
In this critical situation, Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation stepped forward with humanitarian support, in collaboration with North American Humanitarian Aid and Relief (NAHAR). Through this joint effort, Rajon’s new home has been rebuilt, giving him a renewed sense of shelter and dignity. For Rajon, a physically disabled man, this house is not just a structure of bricks and tin—it is a symbol of recovery, resilience, and a new beginning after losing everything. After a long struggle and hardship, his life has regained stability, safety, and a place he can finally call home. This initiative is not merely about building a house; it stands as a powerful example of humanity—where people come together in times of crisis to restore hope, rebuild dreams, and inspire others to live again with dignity.
